• Maker's Notes

  • I made the prototype for this wallet to take with me on a trip to Seattle in 2009 and ended up using it for two years before I forced myself to move on to testing other prototypes. This remains one of my favorite designs and I still keep that first wallet next to my desk when I design to remind me of the perfect, simple functionality of two rectangles and some stitches. Each pocket can easily hold 4-5 cards and the fit of the wool body around the iPhone prevents it from slipping out unintentionally but offers quick, easy access.

    In 2014, this series was updated to fit the iPhone 6 with or without Apple's Silicone or Leather Case. Chamfered corner details were added to a thicker leather pocket to ease weathering of corners with long-term use. Narrower seams provide a more minimal profile. This item is not currently available for iPhone 6+ users.
