We are constantly on the lookout for hard-working smarties who like our dog but we have an immediate opening for a Studio Assistant. We are a small cut & sew studio and we do all our own design, prototyping, production, packaging and fulfillment in house. We work in a bright, sunny studio near Como & 280 in Minneapolis about 2 miles from the center of the U of M campus. Our space is heated and air conditioned and large parts of your job can be completed while listening to your favorite podcast or music all day. 

Studio Assistant 

Your primary responsibility would be to carefully prepare, package and ship items to individual customers and stores around the world. You would also manage our inventory of packing supplies and helps sewists/makers track finished product inventory. Outside of fulfillment, you'll be introduced to different components of production such as die-cutting, heat transfers, fabric cutting, etc. You'll work as part of a team to complete projects and maintain a good studio environment. Position could be part time or full time depending on skill set and availability. 

Ideal candidate:

- has a craft/design/maker background. 
- has great attention to detail. Highly organized and able to follow direction. A good communicator. 
- is an Apple/Mac person (or is willing to learn) and can learn applications/software easily.
- is motivated to work as part of a team and is considerate of others.
- may have experience in retail and customer service that they can draw from to better serve customers remotely.

 

Additional opportunities may be available for you if you have a design/graphics background and know Adobe applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat). Extra points if you have experience working in AutoCAD.

You will be a W2 Employee, paid hourly ($13-$15/hour to start based on experience & skillset).
